Warehouse IT started as a Telnet game — a multiplayer roguelite you played entirely in a terminal over SSH. We quickly moved to the web to take advantage of what browsers can do: smooth sub-tile movement, a particle VFX engine with real fire and lightning, a 52-track MP3 soundtrack with spatial audio, mouse controls, and pixel art sprites. The terminal DNA is still in the game's bones — dark interfaces, monospace text, CRT scanlines — but the experience is now something a terminal could never deliver.
The warehouse is your hub — a massive open floor packed with enemies, vendors, quest-giving NPCs, and a tunnel gate that leads to procedurally generated dungeons. Close IT support tickets, fight bosses at the point of interest, and gear up at the vendor between runs.
From frozen server rooms to magma-filled caverns, flooded maintenance tunnels to glitching datastreams. Each biome has unique hazards, enemies, and environmental mechanics.
Six different generation algorithms produce different dungeon layouts every run. Snake corridors, DFS mazes, cellular automata caves, BSP rooms, and more.
Enter buildings in the outdoor jungle zone to explore procedurally generated office floors. BSP-generated rooms filled with furniture, cubicles, server closets, and IT enemies.
Accept support tickets from the board and fix problems across the warehouse. Ticket bosses spawn at the point of interest. Multi-step tickets stack increasingly dangerous encounters.
Equip two gadgets and rain destruction. Hold the flamethrower for a sustained cone of fire that ignites oil puddles. Snap the railgun for a piercing long-range beam. Deploy gravity wells to crush clusters. Chain lightning through packs with the arc welder. Every gadget has unique VFX, spatial audio, and environmental interactions.
Flamethrower, Arc Welder, Acid Sprayer, Cryo Cannon — hold to fire sustained cones and chains with real particle VFX. Drains stamina while active.
Railgun, Plasma Whip, Spark Pistol, EMP Burst, Cryo Nova, Gravity Well — fire-and-forget with cooldowns. Each fills a different tactical niche.
Shielded, enraged, phasing, and vampiric modifiers on tunnel enemies. Bosses get modifiers too. Each changes how you approach the fight.
Pre-boss corridors with environmental mechanics and wave spawns. Boss telegraphs, variable-size bosses, and biome-specific arena hazards.
